Polish company Fabe Polska to Build a KZT 69 Billion Greenhouse Complex in Kazakhstan
A major investment project involving the construction of a modern greenhouse complex will be implemented in Kazakhstan with the participation of the Polish company Fabe Polska. Reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov and Fabe Polska Chairman of the Board Fatih Budan signed an investment agreement aimed at developing the country’s greenhouse sector.
The project предусматривает the construction of a high-tech greenhouse complex in the city of Shymkent. The planned production capacity will reach 38,000 tonnes of tomatoes per year, with total investments estimated at KZT 69 billion.
During the meeting, Aidarbek Saparov emphasized the strategic importance of the project for Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex.
“The Head of State places special emphasis on attracting investments, including in the agricultural sector. The implementation of this project directly contributes to import substitution and the development of the country’s export potential.
Kazakhstan has all the necessary conditions for the introduction of modern greenhouse technologies: a favorable investment climate, government support, and strong demand for high-quality products form a solid foundation for large-scale production.
The Ministry is ready to provide comprehensive support at all stages of project implementation — from construction to reaching full capacity,” the minister noted.
Fatih Budan, in turn, stated that the project will incorporate advanced agrotechnologies, energy-efficient solutions, and modern production management systems in line with international sustainable development standards. According to him, this will increase production efficiency and ensure stable supplies of high-quality products to both domestic and foreign markets.
In addition, under a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding, Fabe Polska plans to invest approximately USD 137 million in Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial sector over the next five years.
Please note that one of the largest mushroom farms in Kazakhstan has been launched in the North Kazakhstan Region on the territory of the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone. The project involves investments of approximately KZT 11.3 billion and has a production capacity of up to 2,400 tonnes per year, with further expansion planned.
Current technologies, investment cases, and solutions for the greenhouse business will be showcased at Grow Expo Astana, an international B2B platform for manufacturers, investors, agronomists, and greenhouse and farm owners.
