A greenhouse complex with an annual capacity of 36,000 tons of vegetables will be built in Shymkent, reports the Press Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Construction has begun in the Karatau district on a modern greenhouse complex valued at 69 billion tenge. The project is initiated and primarily funded by the Polish company Fabe-Agro.
The complex is being developed on a 144-hectare site. Engineering infrastructure works are currently underway. The facility will be designed for growing vegetables, melons, root crops, and tuber crops.
Once the project reaches full operational capacity, annual production will total up to 36,000 tons. Full completion is scheduled for 2028.
