“Partnerships between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands in greenhouse technologies, animal health, sustainable seed production, and horticulture are in development. This collaboration is in its early stages but already shows strong mutual interest,” noted Jan-Kees Goet.

During the exhibition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Kazakhstan’s National Center for Agricultural Science and Education and the Dutch initiative GroenPact, promoting sustainable development through business, education, and science collaboration.

“The exhibition exceeded all our expectations. It was our first time participating, and I was honored to speak at the Netherlands Day forum. We brought 10 Kenyan growers along, and they too were impressed by the scale and quality of the event. I personally met about 50 clients and flower business representatives — it was an invaluable experience.”
Rich Business Program and New Format for Greenhouse Sector
The business agenda featured a record number of discussions on current issues: development of the flower and garden industry, landscaping and public spaces, tulip forcing, greenhouse technologies, and partnerships.
More than 60 business sessions were held across four platforms. In addition to exhibitors, invited industry experts participated. The total number of speakers reached 50, with over 900 professional attendees.
The 2nd Netherlands Day Forum expanded its agenda beyond flowers, focusing on sustainable solutions in agriculture. Hanse Plant and Koppert presented bio-solutions for Kazakhstani farmers, while Jesse Schevel (Copa Cogeca) emphasized the importance of regulation and partnerships in the Dutch shift toward eco-technologies. Financing tools were also discussed, including EBRD projects and programs from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.

The first Jasyl Astana 2025 International Practical Conference on Public Space Landscaping was held, opened by Astana’s Deputy Akim Yevgeny Glotov:
“Jasyl Astana 2025 is a vital platform for sharing experience, discussing modern solutions, and shaping new urban landscaping approaches. It is symbolic that this happens in Astana — a city developing its infrastructure with ecological and sustainable priorities.”

The Tulip Talks seminar was again a hit, drawing over 150 agribusiness and flower professionals from across Kazakhstan. Partnered with agroholding Verevkin Khutor, the seminar offered insights into full-cycle production: from marketing and operations to sales.
“We are very satisfied with the results. Over 80% of visitors were professionals — greenhouse operators, flower producers, and shop owners. The exhibition proved to be a prime event for networking. I barely had a break while meeting potential clients. Tulip Talks also went great. The wide geographic reach and high engagement showed the relevance and practicality of the topics,” said Verevkin Khutor’s Director Maxim Verevkin.

For the first time, the Astana Greenhouse Forum was held, involving the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian Credit Corporation, Atameken NCE, Ministry of Energy, and greenhouse businesses. Topics included export risks to Russia and other markets, curbing uncontrolled tomato imports, local producer support, and tariff optimization for gas and electricity.
Nurlan Adilkhan, President of Kazakhstan’s Greenhouse Union, noted:

“The forum became a key platform for constructive dialogue between greenhouse businesses and government bodies. For the first time, we directly discussed pressing issues and solutions. I believe this will lead to effective measures to support the domestic greenhouse sector and strengthen food security.”

Grow Talks seminar also made its debut, gathering greenhouse technology experts, agronomists, farmers, and greenhouse owners/managers. Topics ranged from banana, citrus, and berry cultivation in southern Kazakhstan to gas generation and crop adaptation to local climates.
Interactive Q&A formats became a signature feature of this year’s business agenda, increasing audience engagement and practical relevance.
