A modern logistics center, “ITC WEST,” with a vegetable storage capacity of 15,500 tonnes has been commissioned in the Atyrau Region, reports the Press Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project is the first facility of this scale and technological level in Western Kazakhstan and is aimed at developing agrologistics infrastructure, strengthening food security, and stabilizing prices for socially significant food products.
The total area of the ITC WEST logistics center covers 30 hectares. The complex is located in a strategically convenient transport zone and includes five railway branches, a container terminal, Class A warehouses with a total area of 5,400 sq. m., production facilities, and a modern vegetable storage unit.
The vegetable storage facility occupies 8,200 sq. m. It is equipped with 28 storage chambers with temperature control ranging from –25 °C to +25 °C. The facility features automated temperature and humidity control systems, modern refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and microclimate management solutions. Energy-efficient engineering technologies ensure uninterrupted operation, reduced storage costs, and preservation of product quality.
Head of the logistics center Bauyrzhan Zholmukhanov stated that a key feature of the facility is a dedicated banana ripening chamber. Depending on consumer demand, bananas can be ripened in stages and supplied to the market in a timely manner.
The launch of the ITC WEST complex strengthens the agro-industrial sector of the Atyrau Region, establishes modern standards for agricultural storage, and creates additional infrastructure for vegetable and fruit producers and suppliers in Kazakhstan.
Please note that active visitor registration is underway for Grow Expo Astana — the international exhibition of greenhouse technologies and equipment for plant cultivation.
Admission fee: online / before the exhibition — 5,000 KZT (free with promo code GEA2WB8ART), on-site / during the exhibition — 10,000 KZT.
